Not as accessible as Briones, but the Maasai Mara is easily my favorite spot on earth. Been lucky to visit a few times.

Palm island. Went there for my honeymoon. Amazing

All the parks along highway 84 out to San Gregorio are glowing right now

There's clearly been a lot of rain this winter, I never saw it that green when I lived there. Good choice.

From my current locale and one you may also appreciate - Torrey Pines

I'd really like to play Torrey Pines one day. Drove by it all the time growing up, went to a wedding there, but never played it.

Okinawa. It’s like Japan’s Hawaii. All the cool unique things about Japan, with an added chill vibe.

Santorini, Greece. Feels like you’re staring at a painting everywhere you look.

But since you’re in the bay: 7 Mile House in Brisbane (really close to the Cow Palace). A really delicious restaurant and cool bar with an amazing atmosphere during sporting events.

Finally: San Pablo Reservoir is a really neat spot to hike, or go fishing if you desire.

I'd go to San Pablo Reservoir more often but my dog has a bad habit of trying to jump in.

Richmond Park in West London - Gorgeous place for a run, cycle, or to get married! (Which I did) It’s so English. With or without rain, the place never disappoints.

I love exploring all the small towns of Wisconsin. So many quaint downtowns with shops, diners, and bars.

Magnetic Island in Queensland, Australia. Paradise only 20 minute ferry away from the mainland.

The Great Blasket Island in southwest Ireland. Unbelievable beauty and serenity.

Also the Western Isles of Scotland. Lovely.

A bit backwards, but as someone who spends much of my time in rural southern towns for work, I truly enjoy the 1-2 times/yr I go to NYC, either for work or pleasure.

Love Briones, we gotta get you on a bike. Three bears is one of the best rides in the state https://bayarearides.com/rides/threebears/

Ethan Strauss's avatar

Can you bike that with a normie bike or do you NEED a mountain bike?

Andrew Roberts's avatar

All paved, you could do it on your kids trike if you wanted

If I'm buying a home in Southern Utah, where would I target? Not seriously looking, but I like a good Zillow window shop.

There are so many great spots. But for an idyllic ranch, you can't lose along highway 89 between Kanab and Panguitch.

San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Where I met my wife

My new rule is that anywhere with a giant Jesus statue on a mountain tends to have good scenery.

Damnnnnnn good you didn't go to Mexico 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Tough call but the right call. Friend is currently Covid positive and stuck there

Rafa H's avatar

Wow. Glad you didn't listen to your boys 😭 (unless he's enjoying the hotel quarantine). In all seriousness, feel better!

Singapore is just the right mix of night-life, architecture, familiar yet stark differences, Asian but not too Asian (you know what I mean) to be a sensational holiday destination

Anguilla and Piedmont region of Italy. Tie goes to Piedmont given close access to that gorgeous Lake.
