As someone who is and travels among woke/progressive circles, my small group of friends and family had a similar reaction to Hill-Gate - yes, he comes off as a bit of an a-hole and very weird but she's an a-hole as well for making those private texts public that were dysfunctional at best but don't exactly rise to the level of abuse.
With that said, I think the main issue is that dating someone in their 20s when you are at least 10 years their senior seems impossible and not very fun if you're looking for anything more than just pure sex. I know that myself, amongst others, are the worst person they'll ever be during their 20s and probably aren't in a place where they can realistically relate to a more mature person on any sort of emotional/intellectual level. But, hey... maybe that's just me.
Also, as someone who pooh-poohed therapy for years before finally relenting and starting to see a therapist on-and-off for the past 5 years, I can't speak highly enough of the experience. But maybe I'm just lucky and found a good match who rarely, if ever, uses cliched phrases like "triggered," "safe places," etc. I think pretty much everyone can benefit from therapy - it's invaluable to have a non-friend/family member in your life shoot you straight and call you out on your BS.
Khris Middleton is the most consistently overlooked player due to his looks. He would have at least 2 more All-star selections if he was above average looking. Same for Brook Lopez and DPOY
I like Kat’s claim that emotional abuse is real and equivalent to physical abuse and something that everyone has done in a relationship at some point. Sure you may rough up your wife every now and then but it’s okay if it leads to good conversation and behavior change.
I found that this was one interesting angle of all of this... I saw a (like me) Gen X twitter personality who is otherwise pretty "woke" (ugh) say that she didn't jibe with broadcasting private communications and she got dog piled.
I think really a lot of the response is generation based...Gen X and up think it's a horrible breach of trust, apart from all the rest, and Millenials down see it as a fair tactic.

James Franco's first big role was portraying James Dean. He's objectively handsome.

"She's, uh... tenacious."
"You have no idea."
