One of my favorite details of Succession, is how Logan just grunts half the time when people talk to him. Its so so great, because you don't know for certain if he's being tactically non-committal, has no mental energy for things he doesn't give a shit about, or he's just old and deaf and didn't hear clearly.
That was maybe my favorite episode of the series. It put such a sharp point on how dangerous it is that institutions, like multi-billion dollar corporations (or governments) put so much power into the hands of a single old man, and stockholders (or citizens) are at the total mercy of not just the whims of that old man, but his also at the mercy of his biochemistry.
Big multi-generational debate about how corrupt our major institutions have become - with the older folks saying “it’s always been this way (corrupt)” and the younger folks saying “but not to this extent”…
It’s 100% as good as media people say it is. Even so I think it treads water quite a bit. Here’s a decent YouTube video that captures the ridiculousness and the repetitiveness.
Succession is the last show since Game of Thrones that a lot of people I know actually watch in real time. The last water cooler show for educated ppl. Funny thing is 5x people are probably watching young Sheldon.
We’re testing vaccine and booster efficacy by vacationing in NYC for a week. We’ll be as careful as you can be while still doing the tourist thing, but it’ll be interesting to see whether despite being reasonably cautious that we still get it.
Succession is as good as media people say it is (even if Season 3 was a slight step down).

Succession is great. It doesn’t totally follow a single character so it feels different from most shows that critics tend to love.

First 2 seasons of succession were amazing and the last few episodes of third season were great
