Thankful for the StraussGlass deep dive into the Simmons/Klosterman pod that is obviously coming soon

Haven’t heard, but saw people on Twitter making a big deal out of Simmons musing about a hypothetically Italian Kobe Bryant

I don’t understand Chuck’s plan for free/cheap football tickets for college students/alumni. Does he know how many students and alumni want to go to games? The huge Big Ten 110,000 seat stadia are barely big enough for the current prices.

I’ll leave commentary on sports docs, the NBA, and the election for after Ethan and Ryan discuss.

I've never seen that show but I pretty much like anything where someone is expressing enthusiasm for something, no matter what it is (obvious exceptions excluded for lunatics)

To you Ethan, I enjoyed your POD with Andrew Sharp. I appreciate the fact that since I started reading you I discovered great writers like Freddie deBoer, Ross Barkan and Luke Burgis. Your podcasts with Spike Eskin are always a treat too. I enjoy your conversations with Nate Silver as well.

From you and your commentators I learned quite a bit about how San Francisco and California at large is simply spiraling out of control? I don't know what one can call it...liberal decay, maybe is a way to put it? I think how California has become more and more unruly that was a harbinger of this recent election.

I agree with one of your readers asking you to unpack the Simmons, Klosterman convo. (Although I'm only part way though it, but there election results discussion is quite fascinating).

PS - try and get on Malcolm Gladwell. I think I noticed a certain slight backlash against him in the HoS community, but I think he'd make for a great conversation with you.

They’re not perfect, but I’m thankful for sites/apps like YouTube, Spotify, Wikipedia, and even Twitter and Reddit. Every video, every song, every piece of news or information - they’re all available instantly. This was unfathomable 20-25 years ago.

"It's going down no matter what."

Unexpectedly thankful for the excellent play-by-play. Hat tip, Ethan, not how I thought I'd be kicking off Turkey Day.
