The older I get, the more I appreciate the practice of giving thanks during this time. Here’s a particularly far flung bit of gratitude fodder, from the Best Ever Food Review Show on Youtube. Host Sonny Side visits the remote Huli tribe in Papua New Guinea and learns of their traditions. At around the 12:00 minute mark, he sits down to eat chicken with village widows, whose lives are made difficult by having no men to provide for them. The women were so incredibly ecstatic over getting to eat a protein rich meal that it shocked me into considering what I take for granted daily. I plan to return to the video if I’m ever feeling sorry for myself.
Anyway, I recommend the clip and am curious about your reasons for gratitude in a fast changing era. What are you thankful for this weekend? Enjoy the holiday.
Thankful for the StraussGlass deep dive into the Simmons/Klosterman pod that is obviously coming soon
I've never seen that show but I pretty much like anything where someone is expressing enthusiasm for something, no matter what it is (obvious exceptions excluded for lunatics)
