Re: Herbert, I think his career will follow the Stafford arc and he will leave a franchise led by one of the worst owners in the NFL and find success elsewhere.
NFL agents nervously asking Ethan if he's writing about their clients. It'd be wild if Ethan was in the process of writing about Bo Nix or CJ Stroud. haha
I feel like most of the Herbert haters have never watched him play except for the playoff losses.
They never name a non playoff game to say he’s “overrated”. If you want to call him winless in the playoffs, sure accurate but he’s not bad or overrated.
It’s fine, the believers will be here waiting when he gets over the hump.
Josh Allen has more accolades and playoff success but my God is he way more responsible for his team’s playoff L than Herbert was.
Chargers haven’t had a real interior IOL since 2022 - and it’s been objectively one of the worst in the league since.
Related: Quentin Johnston absolutely cooked Stingley on a few routes in the Chargers week 17 loss to Houston… but never got the ball bc the OL could barely give Herbert 2 seconds to throw.
Vis-à-vis Herbert, I have never understood what was getting the NFL commentariat all hot under the collar about the guy, unless it’s his movie star looks. Joe Burrow also plays for a shit outfit, with an awful O line and virtually no D, but when you see him play you’re like “ah, I totally get what everyone’s talking about!”. Not so Herbert, who for my money, is something akin to Trevor Lawrence, though the former has been underperforming for an additional three seasons
Wait, Jammer says he must have played “shitfaced” in at least 8 games? Some number of teammates, coaches, etc must have known on game day, right? Was he just so much better than his backup that no one wanted to say anything? Didn’t want to cause an awkward situation? Wow.
As a fellow San Diegan , lifetime Charger fan until they left to LA, the Jammer pick always bothered me. Similarly I loved the Cromartie pick, he was the sexier of the two but he had a spark when he started and then was just garbage (c) Jay

Parsons - ACL, Packers bad playoff loss
Herbert - bad play, bad playoff loss
Stingley - 3d penalty, 32yd td to go up 2 scores
