Forgive me, slightly neuro-divergent comment here. I generally agree with Nicolai's assessment of rock climber body types, but there are notable exceptions. I was a neighbor and acquaintance with Dean Potter, and he was easily 6' 5" and built like an NBA wing. The greatest gen-x all around rock climber in my book.
I'm only halfway through, but this is one of those interviews where you can really hear all the seams in the interview process, Ethan going back to the list of questions, working the segue. I worry I have the same effect on conversations now as Nikolai- just grinding them to a bitter halt. Maybe it's something about having JIRA tickets and meetings be most of your social life.
When I go to deepnews.org everything is about Rwanda (which is currently grappling with skyrocketing potato prices, which can be attributed to a complex interplay of climate-related challenges and rampant speculation). https://deepnews.org/?p=1002

Yes -- Dean Potter was massive. I knew a guy like that too in NYC bouldering scene. 6'3"+ with massive hands.

Artificial Intelligence is the most awesome force the planet's ever seen but you wield it like a kid that's found his dad's gun
