Great conversation, I especially liked the question about whether there's a link between a player's personality off the court and how they played basketball. From a fan's perspective, we do tend to believe that if someone is a smart basketball player that they're also a smart person IRL which isn't always the case.
The one thing that I thought both AI and ET didn't assess correctly was how hard the role of a GM is. Perhaps they were still thinking from a player's perspective, but to say it's a great job because of the pay and first class travel was rather simplistic. Just because you're traveling on a charter for work doesn't make the job better. You're still traveling for work, you're not on vacation. After all, you're still going to places like OK City, Cleveland, Indy or Detroit for work.
Super random, but props to Mays or whoever is producing. I’ve gotten so used to podcasts doing the auto-clipping silence and it’s fine usually. But Andre did a number of long pauses to think through his answers and I really appreciated it. Like, a bunch of the “dumb questions” were pretty tough and it felt a lot more like a real conversation to have those pauses.
Interviews like this are good reminders that professional athletes are actual human beings and not just guys on your fantasy team or someone you bet $200 on to get over 6.5 rebounds vs. the Hornets.
Would like to know AI thoughts on the Ethan and KD “fight” now that he in media
Evan Turner: One tanked year is never okay. If you don’t understand that, what are we talking about.
Evan Turner on The Process: It almost worked.
He did preface "it almost worked" with playing the devil's advocate.
This was great. Hope they become regulars.
could've listened to another few hours of this

Honestly I almost skipped this one but it was really good
This makes me think I didn't adequately tease the episode
