Backlash to NFL/Swift, Bucks fans, Gabe Kapler's fraudulence, whether The Ringer is my favorite
Enough preamble, let’s get after it…
As a fan of the content put out by the Ringer, I can't help but notice that a large percentage of your podcast guests seem to come from that brand (Big Wos, KOC, Matt Belloni today, etc.) From a purely editorial perspective, is the Ringer the company that puts out the content that you most like to consume? In other words, while I don't really like to use this term, are they currently your "favorite" sports media enterprise?
I hadn’t really thought about it, but I suppose the Ringer is my favorite sports media enterprise right now. Part of that’s because I don’t read a lot of sports writing these days, so I’ve gravitated more to podcasts, which the Ringer excels at. I’m also a huge Bill Simmons fan, and fuck all the snide Gawker school haters.
Does this mean that I love every editorial decision they’ve ever made over there?
