There’s a now infamous stretch of Game 5 between Thunder and Spurs that seems to have overshadowed how horribly plausible future GOAT Victor Wembanyama played. I’ve rewatched the segment and have thoughts on how overblown this narrative has gotten.
And no, this isn’t just a Twitter/X bubble dynamic. Take in any bit of national NBA talk (which draws heavily off X topics), and the Thunder ref situation is a dominant story line.
