Join Us in Predicting WIN TOTALS for the NBA Season
Make some season picks, win a thousand bucks?
Why am I using a photo of Russell Westbrook in a Kings jersey? Because he’s become my personal symbol of how a new NBA season, with Westbrook donning yet another NBA jersey, is upon us.
We’ve had some fun doing the NFL predictions with SportsPredict.com, where I perhaps outperformed expectations. We are doing one for the NBA, and I approach it with even more trepidation. In theory, I’m an NBA EXPERT. In practice? It’s shakier these days. Chances are you’ll do better, and so I invite all of you to join.
It’s simple. Pick win totals between now and when the season tips off tomorrow. No money needed to join, but there’s a $1,000 cash prize if you win. I’m starting off with taking the Bucks over, in part because that’s my guess and in part because my Bucks fan subscribers scare me with their intensity. Here are the particulars, presented by SportsPredict.com.
The NBA Smart Predictor Challenge
Think you’ve got one of the sharpest NBA minds around?
Here’s your chance to prove it — and maybe pocket up to $1,000 while doing what you already love: thinking deeply about basketball.
How It Works
This is the Season Win Totals Challenge — a simple but revealing test of who really understands the league.
You’ll see the projected win totals for all 30 NBA teams for the 2025–26 season.
Your job: for each team, pick Over or Under. Before the first game begins of the season begins. That’s it.
Scoring
• Winner: Whoever gets the most correct picks.
• Tie-breaker: If multiple people nail the same number of teams, we go to total net wins differential — meaning how right you were and by how much. It’s a clean way to separate luck from skill.
I don't know who will win what, but I would bet my life savings ($104.67) that Giannis is traded to the Knicks before the trade deadline.
