Here’s a Sacramento media member who set the scene at Kings Media Day on Monday:
Seeing some Kings fans saying this is the least amount of excitement/hype from a media day they've felt. I get it. What could be fun (or scary) about this season is how low expectations are. The players know it. Many talked about it. Let's see if they do something about it.
Instead, what overtook the event was female media members, captured on a hot mic, saying of Ben Simmons that he’s “Cringe. Cringe!” but “lucky he’s so fine,” and of Zach LaVine, “Zach’s cute. His personality fucking annoys me. He just seems like hell of like a prick.” Oh, and Jordan Poole got a cameo as potentially attractive man: “Allegedly, I like light-skinned, I guess.”
This is an outrage, apparently. Their jobs are in jeopardy, supposedly. I’m not sure if this makes me a White Knight feminist or a male chauvinist, but I’m defending these women.
