There’s a story brewing out in New York City and I’m not sure it’s getting the proper amount of attention. This is less a moral assessment than an observation that the man in charge of the NBA’s biggest-market team could be losing it with his recklessness. The guy’s been maligned for decades absent consequence, so why might this time be different? I’d argue that he’s making entirely new sorts of powerful enemies, every day, on multiple fronts, outside the purview of sports media. Speaking of, I have a theory about sports writers.
