Incredible interview. Really interesting stuff.

Ethan you did a good job staying in the pocket on this one.

Since Ethan has said that many of his readers and listeners start their comment or email with, "I am probably more liberal than your average subscriber..." I will start by saying I am likely more conservative than his average subscriber.

I have little substantial to add, other than to say going Wos-Rosen-Bomani is what sets HOS apart from other pods out there, and I couldn't enjoy it more.

Wow. This book is truly incredible. I haven’t listened to the episode yet but I’m about 5 hours in and haven’t been this captivated since Blackout, probably. And before that, probably years. Please keep finding interesting reads Ethan! It is a time capsule, a cautionary tale, an indictment, a thriller, a primer on our history of psychiatric services. I started listening last night while falling asleep and I totally got the wrong impression. I had a hard time empathizing with David out of the gate and now foresee tears in the near future.

Off topic, but Ethan check out the latest Bob Iger interview. "When not if" ESPN goes 100% streaming.

Absolutely fascinating pod. As for the the de stigmatization of mental illness, the Free Press has a fascinating article about how the Autism movement has morphed from trying to figure out how to treat autism and make people with severe autism more normal to simply saying that they should simply exist as is.

As someone who’s sister has Down Syndrome I’m sort of two minds here. If she could have a drug that would enable her to function independently in society I would definitely want her to take it; however I’m also fearful of any sort of drastic changes to her being.

Wether it’s Schizophrenia or any other mental condition I’m wary that our society is simply kicking people to the curb without doing what’s best to integrate them into society or removing them for their own safety (and the safety of others).

Possibly the best Pod you’ve done so far Ethan and probably the best episode of anything I’ve listened to in a while.

Fantastic. This pod and the Kat Rosenfield have been so great for my soul. Hearing you guys point out things that I've seen on twitter or in life general and to articulate the foolishness of it all has been very rewarding.
