Re: Caleb Williams, his RB was rated #5 going into the draft and his senior WRs were rated #21 and #31 and he has stud underclassmen to throw to as well. OL was a disaster but they were hand-picked with very experience NIL money that other top teams were also in on and they looked great in the bowl game when Miller Moss was throwing on time.

Theres zero doubt he should’ve been the first guy picked in the draft but there should be plenty of doubt on if he’ll succeed.

Same talent question was used by defenders of JJ McCarthy even though he had two top RBs behind him, arguably the top OL in front of him, a third round WR to throw to and the consensus TE1 for the 2025 draft as well. You can think JJ is going to be a star in the NFL and you can think Jim Harbaugh is a great coach but it’s hard to be both because no great coach is going to sideline his stud first round QB in big game after big game regardless of the OL and defense.

Please fade out the intro music earlier! It drives me crazy that it plays over a large chunk of the beginning of the actual talking on the podcast.
